I found some of this information on the internet and some I already knew. Michael Crichton wrote for Playboy .   To read an essay cilck here.   He was full of shit. Michael Crichton was 6'9".  That's a lot of leg. Michael Crichton was married 5 times. Michael Crichton climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. Michael graduated from Harvard and Harvard medical school.  He and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle were both doctors. Dr. Crichton was a smoker who died of lung cancer in 2008.  He was born in 1942. Michael Crichton has a son who was born 3 months after he died. Michael Crichton wrote of my favorite books A Case of Need using the pseudonym Jeffrey Hudson. Michael Crichton directed at least 8 movies. Michael Crichton wrote 17 books and 2 screenplays. He co-wrote the screenplays for Twister , Jurassic Park , Rising Sun .  (I didn't know about Twister .)

Eventually I finish almost of the books I start, probably because as years go by I become more aware of what I like, so what you're about to read is definitely a matter of my personal opinion which you will not and could not totally agree with.  When I pick a book out, I do feel a certain amount of disappointment in myself if I don't like it. For the most part I don't like popular fiction.  I don't try to read popular fiction anymore because I am a book snob:)  I admit it. Having said all of that one of my favorite writers is best selling popular fiction writer Michael Crichton.  I love his older novels.   A Case of Need  is excellent detective fiction in which a doctor has to solve a mystery that occurs at the hospital he works in, and Jurassic Park is one of the best suspense filled thrillers I ever read; the book is much better than the movie.  Crichton's ...

Ann Petry The Street is a novel written by Ann Petry in 1946. When first published the book was widely read and sold a million copies. It is an American classic that tells the story of Lutie Johnson, a loner, a mother, and thoughtful African American woman reaching for the American dream from a poverty stricken Harlem neighborhood. Chapter one describes 116th in Harlem, as cold, discouraging, and strewn with garbage. (1-2) Some readers might ask why Lutie chooses to live in such a desolate and gloomy place. Lutie and her son Bub move to escape the negative influence of her alcoholic father and his drunken girlfriend after being forced to move in with them following the breakup of her marriage.
